Why we all need to be literate in our use of the internet. We tend to think of the internet as this fantastic useful endless resource where we can liberate learning from institutions and access the worlds knowledge fro free. Schools now focus on the accessing and use of information to solve real world problems to the exclusion of delivering a body of knowledge. A good friend of mine - in his seventies now is forever quoting knowledge and learning he acquired in his junior school years. So exactly what are we doing with the fantastic and unprecedented access to the collective information of the human race which is the internet?
